About the Author
Tom Ang is an award-winning professional photographer, lecturer, and best-selling author whose books include Picture Editing, Silver Pixels, Dictionary of Photography, Digital Imaging, Digital Photographer's Handbook, Photoshop for Photography, Digital Photography, Tao of Photography, and Advanced Digital Photography (the latter three titles for Mitchell Beazley). His work has been exhibited internationally, and for 12 years Tom was Senior Lecturer in Photographic Practice at the University of Westminster, London. Tom presented a BBC television series, "A Digital Picture of Britain" in 2005.

Great Knowledge and Writing

Tom Ang's books often seem to get low ratings. However, I really enjoy them. Tom writes with an information density that is really impressive. Its definately not a "breezy" style. So whether you will like his books, and this one as well, depends upon what you like to read. If you like deep intricate detail, than his books are I think the best in digital photography. This book has particularly impressive sections on scanning and printing.
